A Call is now open to submit proposals for organizing Educational Workshops for 2010/2011. Topics will ensure broad coverage of diverse areas of basic, clinical and translational research of general interest.
The venue will rotate among various Portuguese institutions. A Letter of Intent should be sent to Sandra Oliveira at Sandra_Oliveira@hms.harvard.edu The letter of not more than one page in length should include a brief description of the proposed program including suggested duration and names of intended faculty that must include teachers from Portugal and Harvard.
Please include the following information in your proposal: location/venue whether you plan to hold it in Lisboa, Porto or Coimbra. Also include the maximum number of days you wish to allocate to the workshop (typically 3-5 days), the maximum number of participants that can be accepted per workshop given the capacity of the venue and course limitations and number of intended speakers (typically 2/3 from Harvard and 2/3 from Portugal).
The deadline for this proposal has been extended to 30th September 2010.
Note:
1. Calls are open annually with deadlines to submit applications on: 1st April, 1st July, 1st October and 1st January.
2. FCT regulations allow to cover travel, accommodation and food to all faculty but it prevents the program from providing honorariums to the faculty from Portugal. Honorarium will be provided to faculty from Harvard.
